About the Opportunity

GeoResource Ltd is working with a well-funded copper-gold explorer advancing a high-altitude porphyry project in the Andes. The project sits in one of the most prolific copper-gold districts in South America, with an active drill programme and strong momentum heading into the field season.

They are seeking a Senior Geologist to lead day-to-day field and drilling activities on the project, reporting to the Project Manager. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who is happiest on the ground: mapping, logging, running rigs and turning data into the next set of drill targets.

This role suits an exploration geologist who has spent real time on Andean porphyry systems, is comfortable running programmes in remote, high-altitude conditions, and brings sound judgement on geology, safety and people. The successful candidate will have a direct hand in shaping the geological model of a significant copper-gold system.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day geological fieldwork including mapping, sampling and target recognition at prospect and project scale

- Supervise diamond and RC drilling programmes from hole planning through to logging, sampling and interpretation

- Manage drilling contractors, field technicians and core shed staff, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and on budget

- Log and oversee logging of drill core, including alteration, mineralisation, lithology and structure, with SWIR/spectral data where available

- Maintain QA/QC protocols and data integrity across geochemical and drilling datasets

- Build and update 3D geological models and integrate geology,



geochemistry and geophysics to refine targets

- Prepare sections, plans, internal reports and presentations for the Project Manager and senior technical team

- Support logistics and camp operations in a remote, high-altitude environment, with a strong focus on HSEC standards

- Work collaboratively with community, environmental and permitting teams in Spanish and English

Qualifications & Experience

- BSc or higher in Geology; MSc in economic geology or ore deposits an advantage

- 8+ years of exploration experience, with significant time on porphyry Cu-Au (Cu-Mo) systems in the Andes

- Chile-based, or willing to be based in Chile — non-negotiable

- Fluent Spanish and good working English

- Proven experience supervising diamond and/or RC drill programmes and managing contractors

- Experience working in remote, high-altitude field conditions on rotation

- Strong core logging skills across porphyry and related epithermal environments

- Proficiency in Leapfrog, ioGAS and GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS)

- Familiarity with NI 43-101 and/or JORC reporting standards

- Experience with majors and/or junior explorers; comfortable in a lean, fast-moving team

- Strong safety culture and a practical, problem-solving approach

- Professional registration (e.g. Chilean Mining Commission QP, AIG, AusIMM or equivalent) is an asset
