For our growing team in Santiago, Chile, Puratos is currently seeking its

Head of Research & Development (Bakery)/ Jefe De Desarrollo para Panadería
The successful candidate for this key position will develop and implement projects for new products (formula), adapt the appropriate processes and packaging in our plant, and / or generate the necessary adjustments in a conceptual manner that allow their preparation under new concepts of process or packaging.
Key Accountabilities
Drive the improvement of existing products
Develop products according the procedures and methods established by Puratos
Integrate within multidisciplinary teams and perform appropriate competency analysis
Ensure effective communication for R&D; at local, regional and global levels
Must contribute in the generation of ideas and evaluation of new concepts
Development and validate prototypes, leading industrial tests and ensuring accurate product valuation,
Select and evaluate necessary raw materials
Responsible for the creation of technical sheets, listing materials in SAP and the creation and maintenance of the documentation associated with current products and new concepts
Support the areas of Production, Quality and Purchasing
Bring solutions to our customers’ needs and requirements


University degree: Food Engineer or similar
Experience : minimum 2 years of experience and proven track record in R&D; for food industry, ideally in bakery products or similar.
English level (At least intermediate level, written & speaking)
Good communication, & presentation skills
High level of planning and organization skills
Able to manage and leading different projects at the same time
Business and driven results
Strong interpersonal skills : establishes easily contacts
Able to work independently and as a team player
