Bechtel is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Water and Pipeline team : part of the Oil, Gas and Chemical Business Unit, based in Santiago, Chile. As the responsible team member for the Seawater Desalination market sector, this role pursues new business opportunities, including prospect and customer analysis,

competitor assessment, win plan execution and recommending win plans, teaming arrangements, and alternative bidding strategies. Job Responsibilities : For a specific prospect, performs necessary research on customer and competition, develops alternate bid strategies, recommends teaming requirements, develops and implements win plan recommendations, and prepares and manages proposal budgets. : Performs various calculations of a moderately complex nature to help analyze the financial background of targeted prospects. : Participates in the development of proposals. : Develops and maintains industry association and tracks competitor activities and business trends. : Develops relationships with prospective teaming partners and small business/small disadvantaged business subcontractors. Basic Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited University with a minimum of 10 years of exposure to Mining and/or Oil and Gas Industry. : Proven technical knowledge related to Seawater Desalination and Pipeline Business. : Fluent in English and Spanish : Proven knowledge of the principles and techniques of developing business and sales, including pre:positioning, targeting, succeeding and prospect pursuit. : Desirable experience in complex multinational environment.
