At Monster, everything we do is extreme. We push the limits, as do our athletes and consumers, and we’re looking for a Digital Manager who will do the same - innovate, break barriers, and help Monster Energy reach new heights.
The Digital Manager will be responsible for digital marketing in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador and Bolivia, not just for Monster Energy, but also for Reign and Predator brands. The position will cover digital media - mainly focused on social media and programmatic, but will eventually expand to cover CTV, more immersive publisher programs. It will also require a basic understanding of CRM,.Com, and traditional media.
We’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable in many areas and has a deep curiosity that fuels them to learn anything they don’t have experience in. This Digital Manager will play a pivotal role in working with the Field Marketing team and bottling partners to help grow sales in their region.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Strategy:
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Monster brands and the overall business.
- Work with Marketing Directors and Local Managers to ensure marketing goals and objectives are reflected digitally for each brand.
- Build communication plans based on Marketing briefs that identify digital strategies, objectives, tactics and KPIs.
- Develop presentations to explain media strategy and rationale to senior management, brand managers, and Commercial team.
- Support the creation of campaigns to increase the relevancy and recognition of Monster Energy via digital media, influencer marketing, traditional media, etc. and support extension of these campaigns using PR and organic social to maximize earned media.
- Media:
- Negotiate, place,
optimize and report on media campaigns and schedules across various digital platforms (direct, social, SEM and Programmatic).
- Keep up to date on the latest media trends, emerging media and the holistic media landscape.
- Stay connected to the media marketplace and develop relationship with media vendors.
- Maximize the collection and segmentation of 1st party data and leverage to enhance media targeting opportunities.
- Investigate new, innovative media programs to support product launches, live events, and Monster activations.
- Support e-Com efforts with media campaigns that will help drive and measure sales.
- Operations:
- Agency/Partner Management - act as a key stakeholder and relationship owner with agencies including media, creative, influencer, and PR - brief agency, establish KPIs and goals,
and conduct annual performance reviews to improve agency performance.
- Budget Management - manage budget across all channels; process invoices and billing.
- Legal - manage Legal approval process including contracting.
- Content:
- Support Marketing in the development of creative content by sharing digital best practices and optimizing elements such as CTAs.
- Assess creative performance, make data driven recommendations for content pillars, and develop test recommendations to continue improving performance.
- Social Media:
- Create and maintain content calendar and digital posting schedule.
- Support growth of organization's social media profile and presence in your region.
- Identify appropriate ambassadors for each brand, nurture long-term relationships with key media ambassadors/athletes, and measure/report on performance.
- Manage local social channels of each country when it is available locally (ie Twitter account in some countries).
- Analytics:
- Monitor online and offline campaigns, and report on results.
- Monthly and yearly reporting on channels.
- Setting goals and KPIs for channels in line with HQ.
- Monitor social sentiment and public image of Monster Energy in earned media; analyze quantitative and qualitative performance.
**Position Requirements**:
Mandatory:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and proven success record in working in Digital Marketing Communications.
- Bilingual: fluency in English and Spanish both spoken and written.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging digital media platforms.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
- Demonstrable experience with building effective media campaigns.
- Comprehensive understanding of how media impacts brands and how it relates to delivering business objectives
- Ability to create appropriate content for dissemination via press releases, social media, websites, and other distribution channels.
- Advanced MS Office user.
- Ability to build strong relationships with partners, athletes, and internal teams.
- Must be articulate, confident, outgoing, focused but easy going, pro-active, driven creative and be a problem solver.
