We have an excellent opportunity for a Services and Engineer-SRA to join our team in Arica, Chile. The Services and Engineer-SRA will manage, control, and supervise facilities requirements and supplies for the Arica site, ensuring maintenance and operation of field infrastructure, buildings, and warehouses. The role includes managing contractors, minor civil works, capital project site requests from Front-End Loading through Detailed Design & Construction, follow-up execution, Return to Operations, Startup,
and project closeout. The candidate will collaborate with the Project Leader.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage service contracts for the facilities at the Arica site, analyzing contract services to establish an efficient baseline for the yearly procurement process.
- Manage, control, and communicate the development and execution of projects and minor civil works for the program's requirements.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance plans for the facilities.
- Ensure quality services and timely execution of work.
- Manage daily operations of services (field conditions and buildings).
- Establish metrics for workload management across subprograms.
- Manage inventory control and reporting for the supplies and agrochemicals warehouse.
- Implement a digital system to monitor critical stock levels and reorder points for supplies and agrochemicals.
- Conduct inventory audits based on best practices and prepare existence reports periodically.
- Develop strategies for efficient product and inventory management across all programs.
- Manage resources for program budget execution, ensuring cost efficiency and operational excellence.
- Innovate and implement automation improvements in operations.
- Lead standardization of operational procedures.
- Prepare business cases, project charters, and define the scope for capital projects.
- Develop change management processes for local capital projects.
- Lead local project teams to meet business and project objectives outlined in business cases and project gate reviews.
- Support technical inspections and contractor oversight as a counterpart to the National Project Leader.
- Monitor the correct implementation and execution of capital projects.
- Drive efficiency in capital project costs by optimizing resources.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading facilities operations.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
- University degree in Civil, Industrial, Electronic, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Project, and related programs.
- Diplomacy and negotiation skills to manage conflicts.
