Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Electrical Associate Director to lead our building services design team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong leadership background, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee the development of electrical system concepts, from design briefs to concept reports, ensuring timely completion and adherence to construction budgets.
- Design Review: Conduct thorough reviews of existing installations, interpreting their impact on projects and implementing necessary changes.
- Technical Expertise: Prepare calculations, select equipment, and assign tasks to designers and CAD technicians as needed.
- Codes and Standards: Ensure compliance with provincial building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards (CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA).
- Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, promoting effective communication and coordination.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Professional Designation: Possess P.Eng or C.E.T. designation.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrate 8+ years of project engineering experience in electrical building services, showcasing strong leadership qualities and ability to work independently.
- Communication Skills: Possess sound communications skills, evident in client and staff relations.
- Industry Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about provincial building codes, electrical codes, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards.
