Job Title: Associate Director – Electrical, Buildings

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our electrical team in Vancouver and Toronto. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of system engineering concepts, managing design budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develops system engineering concepts and concept reports
- Manages design budgets and construction costs
- Reviews existing installations and interprets their impact on projects
- Prepares calculations and selects equipment
- Assigns tasks to designers and CAD technicians




- Ensures coordination of documents with internal and external project teams
- Understands project procurement methodologies and recommends or applies them as needed
- Reviews deliverables for completeness and accuracy
- Promotes and enforces company standards relating to project administration and documentation
- Develops and improves processes and procedures for project management
- Leads field representative teams and delegates site activities to project managers
- Responds to technical and financial queries related to projects
- Supports accounts receivable and prepares schedules of tasks required to complete projects
- Organizes and attends meetings, including client meetings
- Actively seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships

Qualifications:

- Possesses P.Eng or C.E.T. designation
- Has 8 or more years of project engineering experience in electrical building services
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and ability to work independently
- Demonstrates ability to work in complex environments, dealing with multiple projects and clients
- Possesses sound communications skills,



demonstrated through client and staff relations
- Demonstrates experience working with other consultants and contractors, and coordination of major projects
- Knowledgeable about provincial building code, electrical code, CSA, ULC, IEEE, IES, and NFPA standards
- LEED certification/experience implementing sustainable design is an asset
