Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in software quality (e.g., test case planning, QA automation, performance, security).
- Partner with the Director of Software Quality to develop and implement quality strategies and best practices.
- Mentor and support QA engineers in a matrixed team environment.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Review and provide feedback on test cases, scripts, and automation code to ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify and implement improvements to testing processes,
methodologies, and tools.
- Train QA engineers on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new tools.
- Stay current with software quality trends and share knowledge with the team.
- Act as a key resource for QA engineers, resolving issues and fostering a supportive team environment.
- Collaborate to define and monitor KPIs for software quality, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Proven expertise in Playwright, Typescript & Github
- Bonus points for Jira and AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, etc)
- A proven track record as a mentor for QA engineers
- Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile, and QA processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Proactive, self-motivated,
and committed to staying current with QA advancements
