The Role
We are looking for a Job Captain to lead multidisciplinary modeling teams across complex architectural and engineering projects. This role requires a strong command of BIM software, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive quality and coordination across project stages.
As a Job Captain, you will supervise and mentor modelers, ensure adherence to best practices, project standards, and timelines. You will proactively identify missing or conflicting information, manage RFIs and RFCs efficiently, and conduct in-depth Quality Control reviews across assigned disciplines. Your role goes beyond execution—you will influence modeling strategies and ensure seamless collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate combines advanced modeling capabilities with solid experience overseeing documentation workflows, driving cross-disciplinary coordination, and proactively addressing complex technical challenges. This role requires ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to lead with confidence and clarity.
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary modeling teams across complex projects and ensure high-quality, coordinated models.
- Supervise and mentor modelers; enforce project standards and timelines.
- Identify missing or conflicting information; manage RFIs and RFCs efficiently.
- Perform in-depth Quality Control reviews across disciplines and drive model accuracy.
- Influence modeling strategies and promote seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent command of English—spoken and written.
- Solid experience modeling HVAC and plumbing in Revit for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential construction, including process piping, ductwork, sheet metal, mechanical equipment (pumps, AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers), and plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary drainage, gray water, stormwater, medical gases, compressed air lines, pumps, heaters, and hangers).
- Experience coordinating or clash-detecting through Navisworks (Revizto acceptable but Navisworks prioritized); knowledge of BIM coordination, clash reports, QAQC, and model accuracy.
- Mechanical or civil engineering bachelor’s degree (architects considered only if they have extensive experience modeling and coordinating MEP trades).
- Experience +5 years using Revit and Navisworks for large-scale MEP projects.
- Experience managing project budgets and teams, with the ability to work with clients.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with U.S.-based construction projects.
- Please note: lack of Revit experience in formal roles or insufficient English level may disqualify candidates.
