As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer**to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Hours/Schedule: Monday - Friday 1pm - 10pm

**Salary**: 2500 CLP (gross salary)

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of power distribution and backup systems.
- Monitor and manage environmental controls to maintain optimal conditions for data center equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and upgrades.
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and system failures to ensure continuous operation.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and system performance.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a data center environment.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with power distribution and backup systems, including generators and UPS.
- Familiarity with environmental control systems and monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in facilities management or related fields is a plus.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.
- Understanding of energy efficiency practices and sustainability initiatives.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
- Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
- Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
- Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
- Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
- Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
