About Hackmetrix

Hackmetrix is building an AI-driven platform for cybersecurity and compliance in Latin America. Our product is evolving into HackmetrixOS, a system that automates security and compliance tasks through software and AI agents. Instead of delivering reports or tools that require manual work, we aim to execute large parts of security operations directly within the platform.

We work with mid-sized companies across the region (like MercadoLibre, Bitso, and Betterfly) that need to meet standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS. About the role

We are looking for a visionary Senior QA Engineer who doesn't just follow traditional testing scripts but is passionate about redefining QA through Artificial Intelligence . You will be the architect and builder of a 'Self-Healing' test suite, leveraging AI agents to automate the most repetitive parts of quality assurance so our team can focus on complex security logic.

Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Automation

- Design and evolve our automated testing framework, focusing on reliability and scalability.
- Develop, maintain, and execute high-quality automated test scripts (E2E and Integration).
- Ensure that automated tests are a core part of the development lifecycle, not an afterthought.

Quality & Performance Engineering
- Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the platform scales with our growing customer base.
- Implement API testing strategies to validate the integrations that power HackmetrixOS.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration
- Integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines (AWS-based).
- Collaborate with Platform and Data engineers to ensure environment stability and data integrity for testing.
- Define "Quality Gates" that empower the team to deploy with confidence.

Process Improvement & Governance




- Propose and implement improvements to the current QA processes and testing standards.
- Manage test cases and documentation using tools like XRay or Qase.
- Monitor production events and participate in incident management to prevent regressions.

AI & Innovation Focus
- AI Tooling Evangelism: Lead the evaluation and implementation of next-gen tools like Stablly, Testsprite, or Blinq.io to achieve autonomous testing.
- Self-Healing Frameworks: Implement AI-driven "self-healing" mechanisms to reduce maintenance overhead and handle dynamic UI changes automatically.
- Testing the Future: Develop strategies to validate our own AI agents within HackmetrixOS, ensuring their outputs are reliable, safe, and accurate.
- Efficiency Transformation: Use LLMs (like GitHub Copilot or custom agents) to accelerate test case generation and documentation.

Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a senior individual contributor, mentoring others on testing best practices.
- Work alongside product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria from the early stages of the feature lifecycle.

Requirements

- Strong interest in AI applied to QA
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation roles.
- Advanced Mastery of Playwright: Strong experience building or migrating automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred over Cypress), leveraging its multi-browser support and parallel execution capabilities.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python: Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code for automation frameworks.
- API & E2E Strategy: Solid experience in API testing and robust End-to-End testing strategies.
- Modern CI/CD: Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Data Validation: Strong knowledge of SQL for verifying data integrity.
- Test Management:



Experience with tools like XRay, Qase, or similar.
- Performance Testing: Experience with tools like K6 or JMeter to ensure platform scalability.

Nice to have

- AI-Powered Testing: Experience with autonomous testing platforms like Stablly, Testsprite, Blinq.io, or similar AI-driven QA tools.
- Testing AI Agents: Experience testing features driven by LLMs, automated agents, or probabilistic outputs.
- AWS & Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS workflows and cloud-native environments.
- Cybersecurity Background: Experience with products related to cybersecurity or compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS).
- Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Docker, Terraform or Pulumi for managing test environments.
