Project Overview

Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. Job Summary

In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.

Major Responsibilities

- Coordinating non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects.
- Coordinating with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
- Conducting project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
- Collects and analyzes alternatives for schedule improvement.
- Assisting, when requested, in the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
- Coordinating the development and accuracy of cost reports.
- Preparing specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
- Leading risk workshops, interviews and information gathering as it relates to risk identification, review, and update.
- Carrying out risk quantification activities as required.
- Delivering training sessions and facilitates workshops.

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)



and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills

- Demonstrated experience in executing, monitoring, and evaluating cost engineering activities, including cost estimation, cost control, and cost analysis.
- Experience performing cost trend estimates in support of project cost trend programs.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes, as well as a solid understanding of relevant Controller instructions that affect Project Controls.
- Competent in engineering, procurement, contracting, construction, and startup processes, in accordance with Bechtel's operational standards.
- Experience with preparation of cost studies utilizing historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons. Develops innovative new techniques to meet specific needs, as required.
- Previous experience in the position (+8 years in costs).
- Experience in companies in the field of engineering and construction for mining.
- Advanced management of Excel and cost control systems. Adecuado ex Bechtel.
