The Role

The advertised post is for a Clinical Technologist within the Medical Physics Department based within University Hospital Hairmyres. The service includes the installation, commissioning, calibration, performance assurance and repair of a wide range of medical equipment. In addition, staff undertake duties in accordance with the quality system operated. A demonstrable knowledge of electrical,



electronic or engineering principles to carry out the servicing/repair/clinical support (assisting users in the operation of the medical equipment) on medical equipment. Knowledge of Electrical Safety or PAT Testing, IT/software and specialist test equipment with experience are desirable as are the following; practical experience on medical equipment, workplace practice and techniques including Health and Safety Regulations, working knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines and working within Quality management systems. This post will also include driving to Community Health Facilities etc. to perform the above duties. The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday (Day Start 08:45).
