Renal and General Internal Medicine Specialty Doctor

Applications are invited for a substantive specialty doctor interested in joining our friendly department within Lanarkshire.

Core Responsibilities

- Provide inpatient and outpatient renal services including procedures, dialysis, renal virtual ward activity and general medical resident on call activity.
- Participate in continuing medical education, governance and departmental meetings.
- Engage in quality improvement, patient safety (including human factors training), medical education, research & development and act as an appraiser as required.

Additional Opportunities

- Proposals for additional SPA time are encouraged, particularly for individuals with well‑developed ideas for improving services.
- Successful candidates may undertake more than the standard 1 PA for non‑DCC/SPA activities, subject to discussion with the recruitment lead and service manager.
