Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong experience in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and production support to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical database environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support Oracle database environments across production, development, and testing
- Manage database instances, schemas, users, roles, privileges, and tablespaces
- Execute database migrations, including Data Pump (Export/Import), cutover strategies, and validations
- Perform performance tuning using AWR/ASH, SQL Monitor, execution plans, and query optimization
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL objects (packages, procedures, functions, triggers)
- Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
- Monitor database health, performance, and availability in critical environments
- Troubleshoot database incidents and ensure continuity of operations
- Manage batch jobs and automated processes
- Coordinate technical activities,



meetings, and follow-ups with stakeholders
- Document processes, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of tasks

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years as Oracle DBA

Strong experience with Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c)

Expertise in performance tuning, SQL/PLSQL, migrations

Experience with RMAN, batch jobs, and production environments

Advanced English (C1+)

Preferred Qualifications

- SQL Server or other DBs
- Automation / batch tools

Other Requirements

- Senior-level profile (C2 or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work in on-site
- Advanced English proficiency
- Availability for full-time engagement
- Ability to support production environments and critical systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience coordinating technical discussions, follow-ups, and task tracking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in dynamic environments
