The Role
Working as part of the catering team to deliver a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of patients, staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services.
To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.
The working pattern for this role is 5 days over 7; 36 hours over 7 days, early and late shifts, latest close 8pm.
In This Key Role, You Will
- Oversee the smooth daily running of patient feeding and the public/staff restaurant.
- Staff training.
- Completing staff rota and annual leave allocation.
- Banking and cash handling.
What You'll Bring
- Experience working in a busy catering environment.
- Training and/or qualifications required: numerate, literate and practical.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part‑time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
