Role Overview

The position is located in the Division for Gender Affairs of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile. The Research Assistant supports the implementation of the Division’s programme of work, including technical cooperation and substantive activities aimed at strengthening the capacities of member States in the area of gender equality and care policies.



The incumbent reports to the head of the Division.

Organization

ECLAC is one of the five regional commissions of the United Nations, founded in 1948 to contribute to the region’s economic and social development. Its mission includes the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and the provision of advisory services, expertise and training to governments, as well as support for regional and international cooperation and coordination activities.
