About the Role Our client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their infrastructure environment and help scale their platform as the company continues to grow. This person will play a key role in improving infrastructure reliability, automating manual processes, strengthening security practices, and supporting a high-performing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in self-hosted environments, values automation, and thrives in fast-paced startup ecosystems. Responsibilities

- Own and manage infrastructure and deployment environments
- Audit and improve the current hosting and deployment architecture
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, scripting, etc.)
- Improve infrastructure scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
- Harden Linux servers and implement security best practices
- Configure networking, VPNs,



and secure internal communication between services
- Manage and optimize Dockerized environments and deployment workflows
- Implement automated backup and disaster recovery strategies for PostgreSQL and Redis
- Build monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging systems
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to streamline development and release processes

Qualifications

- Senior-level experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
- Deep expertise with Docker, Docker Compose, and container networking
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience managing self-hosted infrastructure environments
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and server hardening
- Experience administering PostgreSQL and Redis in production environments
- Strong automation mindset and experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify improvements
- Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to Have

- Experience with self-hosted PaaS platforms such as Coolify, Dokku, or CapRover
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Uptime Kuma
- Exposure to Kubernetes environments
- Previous experience working in startup or fast-scaling environments

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with Central European Time (CET)

Compensation: Contractor model – paid in USD

Location: Fully remote
