About the Role
This role acts as a true business partner to leadership, with full ownership over people-related decisions, organizational health, and workforce structure.
The successful candidate will:

- Take responsibility for protecting the business while enabling its growth
- Balance execution with strategic thinking and long-term structure
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Leadership
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational performance, accountability, and structure
- Provide clear, direct, and actionable guidance on people-related decisions
- Challenge stakeholders when needed, ensuring decisions align with business priorities
Employee Relations & Disciplinary Management
- Lead complex employee relations cases, including underperformance, misconduct, and terminations
- Own disciplinary processes end-to-end with clarity,
documentation, and legal awareness
- Address conflicts and performance issues proactively and without delay
- Avoid escalation through early, structured intervention — not passive observation
Performance Management & Accountability
- Ensure performance frameworks are actively used, not just documented
- Support managers in handling low performers decisively and consistently
- Drive a culture where performance has clear consequences and standards are enforced
Organizational Growth & Hiring Oversight
- Lead and structure hiring efforts aligned with business needs, even if execution is supported by internal HR or external partners
- Define role requirements, seniority levels, and quality thresholds for hiring decisions
- Ensure hiring is controlled, strategic, and aligned with sustainable growth
- Actively participate in key hires and final decision-making processes
Organizational Design & Scalability
- Design and refine team structures to support efficient and scalable growth
- Identify capability gaps and implement targeted development or hiring strategies
- Ensure roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines are clearly defined
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies
- Maintain strong documentation standards to support audit readiness and legal protection
- Partner with Legal and Compliance on sensitive or high-risk matters
Culture & Behavioral Standards
- Promote a high-performance, low-tolerance-for-underperformance culture
- Actively address behaviors that negatively impact the team or business
- Reinforce professionalism, accountability, and ownership across the organization
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology or related field
- 5–8+ years of HR experience, with strong exposure to business partnering and employee relations
- Disciplinary processes
- Terminations
- Performance management in demanding environments
- Strong understanding of labor law and HR risk management
- Experience in fast-paced, performance-driven environments (fintech, financial services, or similar preferred)
- Fluent in English and Spanish

Work Setup
- Full-time, office-based role in Santiago (Chile), aligned with operational needs and local labor regulations. Moving to hybrid mode after the first 3 months.
- 40 hours standard time with the option to choose shifts during the week.
