Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Ward 44, planned Care for a Health Care Support Worker. Ward 44 is a 30‑bed combined unit consisting of Gastroenterology and Colorectal surgical specialties. You will be joining a well‑motivated and dynamic multi‑disciplinary team that strives to deliver the highest level of care and benefit patients throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

- Work different shift patterns over a seven‑day week.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including patient manual handling.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and team members, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participate in training and development as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Relevant recent acute inpatient experience is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Capacity to work in a fast‑paced acute hospital setting.




- Must be able to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom; if not a UK or Irish national, confirmation of right to work is required.
