What We Are Looking For:
We’re seeking a Level 2 Autonomy Field Engineer or Technician to provide specialized technical support for ARDVARC autonomous drilling systems in the mining industry.
The idóneo candidate will have experience with electric drills and a strong background in industrial automation.
This position based in Calama.
What You Need:
Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, certification in Industrial Automation, Electronics, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of drill operations or a solid understanding of daily drill functionality.
In-depth technical knowledge of rotary drills,
including mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with electric drills such as Komatsu 320XPC, Caterpillar MD6640 or Epiroc PV271/PV351.
Strong technical skills in diagnosing failures in drill control system and base machine.
Solid knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electric motors, variable speed drives, PLC programming, and automation equipment.
Valid driver’s license (AII-B preferred).
High adaptability to change and ability to work independently and responsibly.
What You Will Do:
Provide field technical support for the ARDVARC Autonomy System components (installation, maintenance, diagnostics).
Assist drill control room operators with system-related issues.
Coordinate with key stakeholders for any autonomy action needed.
Coordinate daily autonomy-related needs with Maintenance and Operations teams.
Report field technical issues to Level 2 Engineers or escalate to the Factory whe
