About the Role
Do you want to be at the heart of digital innovation and safer use of medicines? NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Directorate invites an experienced pharmacist to play a pivotal role in the rollout of the Health Electronic Prescription and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) system across our hospital sites. This is a chance to be at the forefront of digital change, shaping how medicines are prescribed, administered, and monitored to improve safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Embed HEPMA into clinical practice and support staff through the change process.
- Ensure the system delivers real benefits for patients and professionals.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
- Collaborate with site pharmacy teams, wider multidisciplinary teams and the Digital & Information Pharmacy Team.
- Contribute to the digital and clinical tasks that support the implementation of HEPMA.
- Participate in rotas for weekends, public holidays and the on‑call pharmacy service, with adjustments during HEPMA roll‑out periods.
- Apply good team working, project management and interpersonal skills,
alongside a strong foundation in pharmacy practice.
Working Arrangements
The post is hybrid, based at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, with a requirement to work across NHS Fife sites during implementation. Remote working may also be needed.
Eligibility
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. Where a right to work is not already established, sponsorship may be required.
