About This Position

Marcus Thomas is a leading independent advertising and marketing agency that works across the Americas. We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team.

The Role

The Solutions Architect will lead technical solution design, consult with clients, and drive project delivery. The role requires deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Core Responsibilities

- Conduct design, discovery, and technical walkthroughs with assigned clients
- Develop and conduct custom training sessions for assigned clients where applicable
- Lead project delivery in close partnership with the Project Manager and Account Manager, ensuring execution aligns with scope, timelines, and client expectations
- Provide solution and strategy direction across the project lifecycle
- Prepare technical/functional documentation
- Estimate complexity and effort for high-impact tasks and projects
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies during design and development phases
- Collaborate with Technical Architects to ensure alignment between technical implementation and business/solution design
- Support troubleshooting of high-complexity defects and production issues
- Participate in pre-sales efforts by providing solution feasibility, architecture input, and scoping support when required
- Mentor solutions specialists, provide coaching, and promote continuous improvement within the practice

Skills and Qualifications

- Experience with Marketing Cloud Engagement
- Experience with Salesforce Sales (CRM), Agentforce and/or Service Cloud is a plus
- Experience using Lucid Chart or a similar tool to create diagrams
- Participation in projects using Project Management Methodologies such as Lean, Agile, Waterfall
- Experience in creating detailed requirements and functional specifications documents
- Experience in identifying scope changes
- Excellent analytical and critical‑thinking skills, especially in complex scenarios

Preferred Qualifications

- 4+ years of related experience in Salesforce or 7-9 in Mar Tech environments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Salesforce certification Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Admin, Agentforce Specialist and/or Data 360 Consultant is a plus
- Experience designing and delivering complex multi‑cloud Salesforce implementations is a plus
- Strong experience in agency, multi‑client, or consulting delivery environments
