We are looking to hire for the position of **High School Social Studies Te**acher**(starting February 2026)** for the 2026-2027 school year, according to the following skills and qualifications.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- University degree: Social Studies Teacher for Secondary Education (7 -12).
- IB History teaching experience and IB History training (preferred).
- Social Studies teaching experience using the Chilean Curriculum.
- Experience with competency based learning or standards-based learning (preferred).
- Solid conceptual and applied knowledge of current research and trends in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues.
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in high school.
- English proficiency (required even though classes will not be taught in English)).

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to fostering the mission, vision, and values of Nido.
- Engage in the Nido community by promoting a positive, collaborative school culture.
- Teach five sections of Social Studies courses.
- Collaborate with the Social Studies department to further develop and improve the Social Studies curriculum
- this includes participating in weekly curricular planning meetings with course-alike teaching partners.
- Serve as an Advisor for a small group of 8-12 high school students.
- Engage in the co-curricular program at Nido by advising a club or coaching an athletic team.
- Participate in the annual Week Without Walls program.
