Junior Operations Assistant – Dry Bulk Shipping

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Operations Assistant to join our dry bulk shipping team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in international trade, logistics, and maritime operations to gain hands-on experience in the commercial shipping industry.

- Key Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day operations of dry bulk vessels trading worldwide. Monitor vessel positions, voyage progress, and port activities.

Coordinate with shipowners, charterers, agents, terminals, and suppliers.

Prepare and update voyage files, operational reports, and freight documentation.

Track laytime, port costs, bunker consumption, and voyage performance.

Support post-fixture operations and ensure compliance with charter party terms.

Maintain regular communication with internal commercial and operations teams.

Assist in resolving operational issues such as delays, cargo claims, or scheduling changes.

- Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or studies in Maritime Business, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.



Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Good communication skills in English and Spanish.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Interest in shipping, commodities, and global trade.

Previous internship or shipping experience is a plus, but not required.
