Lifeguard – Part Time
Hourly rate: $10 per hour (possibly more, depending on qualifications)

General Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a safe swimming environment and enforce Aquatic and Fitness Center rules in a professional manner. Assist head lifeguard & deck manager in general duties and assist acting supervisor upon request. May be assigned secondary duties such as cleaning pool deck, pool bottom and sides, locker rooms, or other areas of the facility and grounds. Teaching of swimming lessons may be required. Must perform necessary lifesaving procedures when needed, report all accidents, and complete related paperwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have working ability to assist members, use all rescue equipment, and work effectively with the public and coworkers.

Requirements: Must have current Lifeguard, CPR,



and First Aid Certifications. Applicants with WSI certification and some level of lifeguarding experience strongly preferred.

Normal Work Hours: Work hours will vary including some nights and weekend work, up to 25 hours per week. This position is year round, including seasonal; however, hours per week will possibly increase during summer months.
