The Work
(What you’ll be doing & Your Impact)

- Design and maintain backend services that power real-time operational systems in oil & gas drilling environments
- Build APIs, integrations, and data pipelines to handle continuous, high-frequency data from physical equipment
- Tackle real-time challenges where latency, concurrency, and system reliability directly impact operations
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues while improving overall system performance
- Partner with distributed engineering teams through code reviews and architecture discussions
- Help evolve legacy systems (Windows services, WCF) into more modern,



web-based and container-ready solutions
- Uphold high standards for security, data handling, and reliability in mission-critical software

Needed Expertise
(What you need to succeed in the role)

- Hands-on development using C#/.NET (with some exposure to C++ as a plus)
- Strong grasp of distributed systems, backend architecture, and data flow in complex environments
- Proven work on real-time or data-heavy systems involving concurrency and multi-threading
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve challenging production issues with a performance-first mindset
- Track record of building APIs, integrations, or data pipelines across evolving systems
- Solid system design skills, with the ability to think through scalability, latency, and failure scenarios
- Clear and confident communication skills in English, especially when explaining technical decisions

Not Required But Nice To Have Expertise
(What would be great for you to have)

- Exposure to industrial, IoT, or oil & gas environments such as drilling or edge computing
- Familiarity with high-performance or low-latency systems that process streaming data
- Working knowledge of AWS, hybrid architectures, or early-stage containerization with Docker
- Involvement in modernization efforts, especially transitioning from monolithic to scalable systems
