To ensure all accounting entries within the inidivdual’s area of control (i.e. project, contract, service line) are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders, together with ad-hoc financial analysis. This will require the management of a team and to demonstrate influencing skills with business management and other functions.
- Responsibility for ensuring the team have prepared all accounting entries accurately and in line with corporate deadlines
- Responsibility for ensuring the team prepare invoices in a timely manner and in accordance with the commercial terms of the contract
- Ensure results are accurately reported and analysed
- Effective management of a small accounting team
- Manage the team, making sure everything is reviewed prior to sharing with stakeholders
- Preparation and ownership of annual plan and quarterly reforecast in conjunction with Business Management and finance team
- Responsibility for ensuring the team focus on cash collection,



optimisation of DSO and minimisation of unbilled items together with ensuring these balance sheet areas are appropriately reconciled, analysed and controlled by the team
- Liaising with external, internal and client auditors
- Reporting of financial performance to Business Management team and finance manager

Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required

Qualifications:
- Further eduction through College or University with a recognised accounting qualification Qualified Public Accountant, Senior Auditor, Commercial Engineering

Knowledge, skills and experience:
- 15 years + accounting experience
- Proficent user of excel
- People supervision experience and skills
- Good commercial experience Good at using ERP and other IT systems (Oracle Reporting, SAP )

- Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships
- Good people skills and ability to develop team
