**About the role**

We are looking for someone to Lead the Operations in BBRG Santiago, a Plant belonging to the Ropes Division of Bekaert (Bridon-Bekaert, The Ropes Group). The Scope of this position includes responsibilities in Safety, Production (Wire Rope Plant & Service Center), Maintenance, Logistic, and Planning.

**Your Impact as Operations Manager**:

- Keep and Improve a Safety Culture in the Operations area, engaging everyone for the firm purpose of “Not Harm anyone”,
- Pursuing Excellence in each process, reaching the highest standards in Quality and Efficiency, optimizing resources for keeping costs always within the budgets, and reducing the environmental impacts.
- Manage the assets of the Plant to have them always available for satisfying the requirements from Production and this way give the expected satisfaction in time to the Customer’s Demand.
- Leading by example for creating a harmonious interpersonal relationship culture for all levels, from the shop floor, Department Teams, and Managers, rising respect for each other as the main value on which all the rest is built.
- Keep fluent communication with Unions identifying the key drivers for pursuing the common benefit.
- Identify Investment requirements in the Plant comparing existing and demanded infrastructure and equipment for budgeted production/sales.
- Define and control KPIs,



and yearly and monthly goals for Logistics (Warehousing, Shipping & Packaging), identifying opportunities and challenging the previous year’s yield.

**About You**

**Essential skills & competences**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or Logistic areas
- 7+ years of related experience and 4 years of specific experience
- Formal knowledge of industrial and mechanical processes, Logistics and material handling, Projects Valuation, Industrial Economy, Marketing and Customer Service, Quality & Continuous Improvement.
- High Commitment to Safety as a base culture, shop floor orientation, and Team Working
- Wide experience and knowledge in manufacturing and logistics.
- Experience in Project evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Proactivity, sense of urgency, orientation to Quality and Customer service
