**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**:
- Provide overall internal and external leadership and general management of the Field Operations Engineering and Maintenance team.
- Develop, structure, articulate, and implement departmental strategies and goals.
- Lead Summit’s safety and health program with the team, at home and in the field, and cross-functionally.
- Lead cross-disciplined local and international personnel and contractors to achieve project success.
- Draft and present reports on project progress and asset performance.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent for the department, and motivate current staff to continually improve performance.
- Budget and forecast project costs through concise tracking and reporting.
- Travel internationally to various remote field projects up to 20% of the time.
**Technical Responsibilities**:
- Manage the development and implementation of plant commissioning, startup, operations, and maintenance best practices.
- Develop operational, maintenance, and laboratory operating procedures and train plant workforce.
- Lead the integration of new technologies into the field.
- Oversee plant process activities and implement engineering designs.
- Track, analyze, and lead key plant deliverables through data analytics and quality assurance and control best practices.
- Conduct plant process studies and manage optimization initiatives to further the continuous improvement culture.
- Oversee plant assets and manage Reliability Centered Maintenance processes.
- Analyze plant Root Cause Failures and implement preventative initiatives.
- Execute project with safety in mind and support efforts to ensure the reliable operation of the facility systems.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Experience in plant equipment operations, maintenance, and engineering.
- Strong advocate and champion of innovation, continuous improvement, reliability, LEAN culture, project management, and change management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead and create alignment across business units and teams.
- Professional, Mechanical, or Chemical, Engineering with 5+ years of plant environment experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing a team of 15 to 30 employees.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English, Spanish is an asset.
