**Mission**:
Within the operation team of the Asfalcura, the Area Manager is responsible for supervising the works of projects located outside Santiago. Those projects are under the direct responsibility of the Project manager of which they are the direct superior.
The Area Manager reports to the Operations Manager of Asfalcura, ensures the best preparation and execution of projects, as well as compliance with planning and budget, controls the performance of all jobs within the scope and ensures their profitability.
The Area Manager leads and organizes the teams necessary to coordinate projects with the company's logistics and equipment departments.
They ensure compliance with safety rules, respect the terms of contracts concluded with our clients and optimize the organization and results of projects.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- ** Participates in the establishment of the annual budget of his/her scope.**:

- ** Controls the performance of all jobs for which he/she is responsible**: coordinates and validates all job preparations, monitors their budgetary, contractual and financial management and controls their results, optimises their profitability, consolidates the monthly activity reporting, ensures the closing and acceptance of jobs, organises feedback, collaborates with engineers, workers, and contractors to create project plans and schedules.
- ** Carries out commercial prospecting and contributes to deal-making **in relation with his/her Operational Unit Manager: monitors, manages and negotiates deals, maintains relations for monitoring and securing loyalty of customers, can contractually commit the company according to the sub-delegated powers, is the representative of the company, etc.




- ** Is the intermediary between the project managers and the Operational Unit Manager.**:

- ** Manages his/her teams**:organizses his/her teams, manages training and participates in recruitment, assesses his/her teams, etc.

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Supervision of works**
- Direct supervisor of several project manager, you supervise, assists in decision-making and validates critical points during all process of projects.
- You make proposals to maximize the profitability of projects thanks to technical and contractual optimization.
- You ensure the optimization of internal and external resources.

**Budget and planning supervision, reporting**
- Takes an active part in the preparation of projects.
- Optimizes then validates project schedules, then ensures proper monitoring and possible planning adjustments.
- Ensures that the budgeting of projects before work starts.
- Checks the correct monthly financial monitoring and verifies that the coefficients of each project are respected.
- Reports monthly to the operations director of the results.

**Organization and coordination of work**
- For each new project, build an adapted team and optimize internal resources as much as possible.
- Ensures the continuity of activities thanks to good coordination between the different projects.
- Supervises the production of mobile stations installed in its Area.
- Manage the teams
- Organizes the teams, manages training and participates in recruitment, assesses the teams, etc.

**Profile**:

- Master’s degree in engineering
- 10 years or more of experience in the road construction industry
- Previous experience in the management of a team conducting several projects in parallel.
- Fluent Spanish is mandatory, English is a plus for this position.
