About the role
- The Studies Manager role provides leadership to a team or teams focussed on project leadership and the safe and efficient delivery of projects through their lifecycle in line with BHP standards and requirements, within budget, scope and schedule to optimise value for BHP. Translates strategy into operational plans for the department.
- Key responsibilities
- Conducts benchmarking,



implements prioritisation methodologies and identifies key investment drivers to effectively manage key requirements across the portfolio.
- Identifies opportunities to optimise value, manages associated risks and applies Optimised With/Optimised Without framework principles to create and preserve maximum value from projects across BHP.
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Makes evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.
- Defines value drivers and determines the boundaries of an opportunity to determine if it is worth further investment.
- Facilitates activities and inputs with stakeholders to ensure high quality change management, making sure that key assumptions are competitive and realistic.
