About the Role
- We are seeking a motivated and highly experienced Cost Estimating & Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) to bring specialised knowledge and support project teams in delivering successful and value-accretive projects.
This role involves updating and supporting BHP’s approach cost estimating and controls, and developing the necessary frameworks, strategies, and processes to ensure the business meets these standards.



The Cost Estimating and Control SME will be responsible for disseminating this approach across various regions, establishing support and governance structures as needed.
Additionally, this role is crucial in fostering a culture of care within integral and regional project teams. Key responsibilities include empowering employees with the skills and capabilities required to meet the defined service offerings, equipping leaders with the tools to manage their teams effectively and facilitating cross-regional engagement.
- Key Accountabilities:
- Acts as the go-to expert for Cost Estimating & Control methodologies and technical decisions across globe.
- Shapes the vision and strategy for Cost Estimating and Controls within Global Projects, aligning with broader business objectives, and regional requirements.
- Defines and supports best practices, processes, tools, standards, and templates for effective Cost Estimating & Control.
- Nurtures a culture of care, setting behavioural expect
