Description:
We are looking for CSA Engineer that will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects within an organization, from the initial ideation through to completion. Coordinates people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee projects of various sizes and complexity.
- Support RFP and tendering process for all electrical scopes of work.
- Manage General Contractors and subcontractors through project construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Lead a project team to ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables.
- Manage a team to ensure cost effective, safe, and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, documentation, and other factors necessary for success.
- Manage vendors and coordinate construction activities.
- Assists in preparing the Contractor Quality Control Plan addendums and other work plans as necessary.
- Performs on-site QC inspections of materials, equipment, and work to verify compliance with approved work plans, contracts, plans and specifications.
- Has the ability to immediately implement changes to correct deficiencies discovered as a result of inspections / surveillances.
- Tracks deficiencies and coordination of necessary corrective actions throughout the course of the project.
- Monitors for all site quality related documents including submittals, transmittals, testing forms, inspection checklists, field sampling checklists, data submissions, etc.
- Participates in all project meetings.
- Supports project close-out.
- Other ad-hoc quality support tasks as required by the project or assigned by the Project Manager.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of engineering mechanics, building structural systems and codes.
- Development of effective work plans (with associated schedules and budgets) to address technical challenges.
- Performance of and leading work with excellent technical quality and delivering services within agreed-upon schedules and budgets.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction or civil engineer, architect with 5+ years of experience in large projects.
- Strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident when presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external audiences.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Positive, energetic, and cooperative with customers and internal staff.
