Country Tax Specialist - Chile

Main Purpose:
In this role, you will lead and oversee all tax matters for Bayer in Chile, ensuring both compliance and strategic contribution. As part of the regional tax team in Cono Sur, you will work in close collaboration with business units, general stakeholders, advisors, and shared service centers. The position plays a critical role in integrating local tax operations with regional strategy, while also driving process simplification and value creation. You will be the main point of reference for tax in Chile, contributing to informed decision-making and enabling a stronger business foundation in the country.

*Your mission will be to:
- Take full ownership of Bayer’s tax responsibilities in Chile,



covering two legal entities and various production units.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in tax filings, audits, local reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Serve as a key liaison between external tax advisors (e.g., KPMG, EY), the Cono Sur tax team, GBS in Costa Rica, and internal business partners.
- Identify inefficiencies and simplify processes by eliminating low-value operational tasks.
- Embed DSO principles into day-to-day work and foster collaboration across functions and countries.
- Ensure a smooth and solid transition with the outgoing specialist who is retiring.
