**About the role**
- The Lead - Sourcing is responsible for executing, monitoring end-to-end sourcing activities, including the development and implementation of sourcing and supplier relationship management strategies. This role also acts as an escalation point for contractual disputes, ensuring prompt resolution to protect Orica’s interests.
**What you will be doing**
- Sourcing Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the category strategy.
- Sourcing Process Execution: Execute and /or monitor the end-to-end sourcing process, ensuring outcomes meet or exceed business requirements and are fully aligned with Group Standards.
- RFx Management: Prepare, distribute, collate, and analyze RFx processes.
- Negotiation Strategy Development: Develop negotiation strategies to ensure Orica’s position is commercially and legally strong, delivering the best outcomes.
- Adaptation to Market Changes: Anticipate changes in the sourcing landscape and update negotiation strategies accordingly.
- Analytical Assessments: Conduct scenario, should-cost, benchmark, and other types of analysis.
- Market Intelligence Feedback:
Provide feedback on market intelligence and insights to support the periodic update of the category strategy.
- Cross-Functional Engagement: Facilitate cross-functional, multi-level engagements.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions with key suppliers.
**What you will bring**
- Minimum 8 years experience post professional qualification, including 5 years of direct people management experience.
- Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream.
- Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable.
- Demonstrated skills associated with building strong vendor &/or customer relationships
- Financial accumen & budgeting experience.
**Metrics**
- Spend/Transaction on Contract: Measure how much of our spend are on Ariba contract.
- Supplier Performance Score: Evaluates supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service.
- Cost Savings: Measures the amount saved through effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Days Payable Outstanding: Measures the average number of days a company takes to pay its bills and invoices its trade creditors.
- Supply Chain Disruption Rate: Measures the frequency and severity of interruptions in your supply chain.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Tracks the number and impact of continuous improvement initiatives implemented.
- SHES Compliance: Measures adherence to health and safety requierements.
