**Qualifications and Experience**
Bachelor Degree from an accredited university
- Teaching credential that covers learning support / special education
- A minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience
- A strong background in collaborating with classroom teachers to develop and expand
- differentiation practices and accommodations in the classroom
- Experience writing sequenced curriculum for diverse learners
- Experience with implementing interventions within the classroom
- High proficiency in English

**Preferred**
Masters Degree
- Proficiency in Spanish

- Ability to differentiate instruction in a class with diverse learning needs
- Ability to be adaptable and work in a multitude of different settings based on student need




- Ability to work independently to problem solve and overcome obstacles
- Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Teach learning support classes that help students achieve greater success with

grade-level curriculum
- Monitor and evaluate student progress in learning support to ensure students are

meeting the expectations of the high school curriculum
- Work closely with classroom teachers, students, and parents to craft individual

learning plans to help students achieve greater success with grade-level curriculum
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure students are meeting the

expectations of the high school curriculum
- Develop an effective partnership through open communication with parents of

students receiving learning support
- Maintain an orderly and safe classroom environment
- Create, construct and monitor appropriate **Individualized Learning Plans,**

**Accommodation Plans **and other relevant documents required by the department.
