We are looking for a PV & Electrical engineer to join our E&C; team at Company in Chile. Reporting to the VP Competence Center, you will be responsible to provide expert support on PV and electrical engineering in relation to company business and for ensuring that all projects are well developed in terms of technical quality and current local and international regulation requirements.

Skills required and Responsibilities
- Wide experience in Photovoltaic design, main equipment manufacturers, technology trends and costs
- Good handling of PVSyst and Autocad.
- Good knowledge of the renewable energy market in Chile, especially PV (Wind and BESS valuable).
- Good knowledge of the electrical grid regulation and interconnection process.
- Time management to work on multiple activities. Teamwork. Analytical skills.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills for direct handling with vendors and elaboration of technical documents.
- Capability to define the scope of services and technical requirements for external consultants and contractors.
- Flexibility to travel to visit our installations
- Team management skills
- Good IT skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel and Project packages.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team, coordinate and enthuse colleagues and consultants
- Strong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to maintain sight of the ‘big picture’ and overarching objectives at all time




- Valuable basic knwoledge of Digsilent-Power factory and ETAP
- Responsibilities
- General PV design optimization in coordination with the Center of Competence team: layout, yield and CAPEX
- Assessment of the solutions for the Interconnection with evaluation of designs and costs
- Collaboration, coordination and support to Construction and AM departments
- Support the Project Management team in Contract development and negotiation
- Technical leadership in discussion with Advisors and Contractors
- Lead the technical counterpart for the works carried out by external consultants.
- Review and verify the technical elements of SX Owner's Requirements for EPC contracts.
- Produce technical reports.

Profile required
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or compatible with PV sector
- 5 or more years of demonstrable experience mainly in solar projects.
- Good knowledge about the Chilean Electrical System and Grid Code
- Good knowledge of the requirements for the connection of solar plants to distribution networks
- Valuable background in electrical power systems and experience on designing of electrical generation and transmission projects.
- Good knowledge about International Standards: IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA.
- Team management skills
