Field Service Engineer

This position will be based on Santiago. This position reports to Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Repairs, start‑up, updating, modernization of low and medium voltage drives
- Review of drives and modifications requested by the factory, guarantee care, and perform service tasks such as installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance
- Identify technical problems and perform analysis through remote or on‑site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, routine maintenance, retrofits, upgrades, replacement, etc.)
- Consult with and advise customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines
- Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, appreciating their needs and providing specialist assistance and solutions
- Coordinate and execute specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews
- Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service
Qualifications
- Higher level technician or a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic engineering
- Sound knowledge of and hands‑on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Basic knowledge of medium and low voltage motors
- Knowledge of occupational safety in the field (type: HSE), procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to travel (70% of the time)
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution‑focused ap
