You will be responsible for the proper recording, reporting and analysing of all financial results of Metso in accordance with Metso’s management accounting policies and reporting procedures, reporting to the Senior Controller Business/Operational.

This position is based in Antofagasta, Chile.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Deliver relevant and accurate financial information and business analysis to support leadership decisions, planning, target-setting and change management.
- Support the Business Line / Business Area by effectively communicating financial performance, order intake, backlog and customer funnel development.
- Coordinate and prepare financial analysis for major BA projects to drive informed decision‑making.
- Assist the Market Area and Business Area in preparing sales and margin analysis and developing revenue forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse Work in Progress (WIP) costs and ensure proper recognition of revenue under the Percentage of Completion (POC) method.
- Create and analyse Business‑Area specific financial reports and assist in reviewing MA and BA results.
- Collaborate with MA and BA teams to develop cost‑centre budgets, including headcount and allocations.
- Help establish timesheet rates and freight‑burden rates in alignment with business needs.
- Take an active role in annual and quarterly planning, preparing monthly short‑term order, sales and sales‑margin estimates for Market Area reviews.




- Participate in AR collection meetings and support proactive collection activities.
- Work with Project Managers and regional teams to monitor and manage warranty costs effectively.
- Conduct special financial analyses as needed to support business decisions.
- Make sound business decisions aligned with operational goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and Chilean law Ch3262.
- May involve international and domestic travel to collaborate with integral teams and partners.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field.
- Background in accounting within a global, multi‑product line business is a plus.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Proven success in change management and driving profitability and growth.
- Experience using financial reporting and management tools (BW, Power BI).
- English proficiency (B1 or higher).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- SAP S/4HANA modules: FI, CO, PS, SD, MM – plus.
- Experience with OneStream – plus.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
