Job Summary

Veterinary Technician I/II (CARE) – Full‑time staff position at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals, World Equestrian Center, Marion (Ocala).

Responsibilities

- Assist in equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging services.
- Provide primary and urgent care for small animal patients.
- Instruct veterinary students in technical skills and supervised medical treatments and procedures.
- Perform patient care under direction of veterinarians.
- Carry out tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs and extensive standing, bending, kneeling.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience (Veterinary Technician I) or credentialed veterinary technician (Veterinary Technician II).
- Strong communicator with an interest in developing patient care and surgical nursing skills.
- Prefer experience in equine diagnostic imaging, equine anesthesia,



and use of equine rehabilitation equipment.
- Background check and post‑offer health assessment required.
