About the role
- The Lead - Sourcing is responsible for executing, monitoring end-to-end sourcing activities, including the development and implementation of sourcing and supplier relationship management strategies. This role also acts as an escalation point for contractual disputes, ensuring prompt resolution to protect Orica’s interests.
What you will be doing
- Sourcing Strategy Implementation:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with the category strategy.
- Sourcing Process Execution: Execute and /or monitor the end-to-end sourcing process, ensuring outcomes meet or exceed business requirements and are fully aligned with Group Standards.
- RFx Management: Prepare, distribute, collate, and analyze RFx processes.
- Negotiation Strategy Development: Develop negotiation strategies to ensure Orica’s position is commercially and legally strong, delivering the best outcomes.
- Adaptation to Market Changes: Anticipate changes in the sourcing landscape and update negotiation strategies accordingly.
- Analytical Assessments: Conduct scenario, should-cost, benchmark, and other types of analysis.
- Market Intelligence Feedback: Provide feedback on market intelligence and insights to support the periodic update of the category strategy.
