BIM Manager

Antofagasta, Calama.

Responsibilities

- Act as leader of the BIM team in designated projects, disseminating the methodology and ensuring its correct application.
- Supervise and manage 3D digital topographic point clouds.
- Handle the georeferencing of models through vectorization, BIM modeling by specialty, and point clouds with Codelco‑specific coordinate systems.
- Control compliance with Codelco’s BIM standards and procedures, including model maturity levels.
- Support BIM budget estimation in engineering studies during profile, prefeasibility, and feasibility phases.
- Incorporate laser survey data into coordination software to monitor project progress against the defined plan.
- Publish the updated model on the designated CDE (Common Data Environment)

Qualifications

- Qualified degree as Civil Engineer or Construction Execution Engineer, Mechanics, Structures, or Geodesy.
- BIM certification (Master BIM Management).
- Eight years of experience in mining‑metallurgical projects.
- At least six years of specific experience in multi‑disciplinary BIM administration and coordination on large‑scale mining engineering projects.
- Advanced proficiency with 3D BIM design platforms.
