Purpose: This professional has a commercial, clinical support and account management scope. From this position, it is expected the business development of the market where she/he operates. The position works closely with distributors operating in that market, serving as a focal point to support commercialization for the entire Surgical Vision portfolio.
This position should maintain an active role to support the current portfolio and the introduction & adoption of new products and technologies in the market, giving specialized clinical support and training for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. Specialized support and demonstrations to Health Care Providers can also be delivered at Hospitals, in the operating rooms. The professional works closely with the J&J; Surgical Vision team, ensuring the implementation of the strategies defined by the marketing team and the leadership team, and participates in initiatives to launch new products and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the strategy & marketing plan are converted into sales goals, business objectives and planned activities for the distributor teams.
- Provide specialized clinical support and training for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including Intraocular Lens for Cataracts and Phacoemulsification equipment, delivered in operating rooms if necessary.
- Work with distributors to ensure accurate forecast, distribution, pricing and promotions for the assigned portfolio.
- Ensure that distributors are clear and aligned to the annual business plan and achieve this with a focus on financial capacity and performance.
- Actively monitor the competition and propose impact actions to improve the positioning of our products.
- Continuously obtain market information: identify client needs, expectations and environmental changes in the sector.
- Support the proper management and compliance of contracts.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships and processes with all Support Functions to assist sales in resolving complex issues.
- Monitor and challenge performance delivery for each distributor with monthly performance reviews to implement solutions that help growth.
- Develop and maintain strong and meaningful relationships with all distributor owners and key stakeholders through effective communication and teamwork.
- Cultivate strategic alliances and nurture relationships to achieve market penetration.
Qualifications
- College level (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Optometry, Engineering, Biomedicine).
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with Medical Devices, preferably Ophthalmology products.
- Ophthalmology background.
- Strong oral and written communication skills that allow effective communication with the company and opinion leaders.
- Highly oriented to customer service, support and results.
- Independent and self‑motivated work style.
