Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled software architect to join our team in Santiago, Chile. In this on‑site role, you will be responsible for designing and improving the MARS robot software in conjunction with our private server, you’ll be working with the software and AI team to integrate new features to the MARS robot as well as developing new product to aid in the company mission. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of our surgical technologies aimed at reducing surgical invasiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable software architectures for the MARS robotic platform.
- Aid in the integration of new features into the MARS robot, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with AI and software teams to incorporate machine learning capabilities into the platform.
- Design new software products/features that support Levita Magnetics’ mission.
- Coach and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on coding best practices, software architecture, and problem‑solving techniques.




- Ensure the use of best practices for software development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and user experience.
- Work in compliance with the company’s Quality Manual and SOPs.
- Monitor and report activities and status to management.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a software architect or in a similar role.
- Expertise in C++ programming and Linux‑based systems.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
- Familiarity with real‑time systems and robotics software development.
- Comfortable working with surgical images and related medical data.
- English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Nvidia technologies, such as CUDA and GPU computing.
- Familiarity with AI integration in robotics or healthcare systems.
- Prior experience with image data processing and management.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device software.

Location

This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in our Providencia, Santiago, Chile office.

Pay

$1,800,000 - $2,400,000 per month
