Purpose
Reporting to the Director Tailing, NPI & Material Handling, the Manager NPI Delivery is responsible for the delivery of the Non-Process Infrastructures (NPI). The Manager NPI Delivery provides leadership focused on execution of construction strategies, standards/frameworks and integration and interface management across the projects lifecycle to ensure delivery in line with the approved statement of requirements. They translate strategy into operational plans for the department.
About the Role
- Manage contract execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure and risk.
- Define project objectives/schedules, identify critical activities, monitor the project plan/schedule and drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects at BHP.
- Monitor and manage project performance to deliver projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget, scope and schedule.
- Develop integrated project deliverables and integrate project work across projects through interfacing with stakeholders and managing the successful transition of project/phase closure.
- Follow risk management processes, conduct risk assessments, comply with standards and accurately report on risk to maximise safety and value across projects at BHP.
- Explore and iteratively reassess best fit solutions, take ownership of project decisions and outcomes and monitor and manage impacts to value across the project lifecycle (e.g. social, environmental, commercial).
- Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
- Conduct assurance and governance of study deliverables.

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Mechanical or equivalent discipline.
- Proficiency in engineering of controls and technology.
- Experience in infrastructure remodeling or expansion required for site facilities and camps.
- Experience on mining major/minor capital studies and project execution.
- Demonstrated leadership management experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment.
- Strong practical understanding of safety requirements & expectations to ensure effective embedment of controls against risks.
- High attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Ability to operate effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment utilizing solution-based methodologies.
- Succeeds with mínimal supervision, manages time effectively, and proactively maintains control over all projects/responsibilities.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills including root cause analysis training.
