BBA is seeking an intermediate Mechanical Piping Engineer with experience in mining process plants to support our ongoing growth and help us reach our strategic objectives in Santiago, Chile. You’ll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, from supporting operations at client sites to performing front-end studies, general engineering, field implementation and commissioning, with a strong focus on technical expertise.

As a member of the Mechanical Piping Engineering team in Santiago, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional technical quality.
- Develop mechanical and piping designs for engineering projects in the mining and process industries.
- Prepare calculations and technical documents, review plans to ensure their quality and compliance.
- Perform site work, including inspection, pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical systems and piping
- Ensure all work meets both client and BBA standards and requirements.

- Support our client’s onsite operations through various assignments, which may include shift work or occasional visits, depending on client requirements.
- Lead or guide activities such as process optimization, field supervision, commissioning and startup.
- Serve as a key team member for small to major brownfield and greenfield mining projects.
- Carry out technical work, with a strong focus on conceptual design pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
- Perform equipment sizing and design calculations.
- Develop designs and ensure plans comply with technical guidelines, legal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Help prepare plans and specifications and perform detailed engineering for piping systems, heavy equipment, conveyors and metallurgical processes.
- Perform engineering on bulk material handling systems, including crushing and grinding circuits, flotation, leaching, dewatering and overall process plant layout.
