About the role

SLR Consulting LATAM is seeking a professional for our internship program, ready to put into practice academic and professional foundational principles learned through a top undergraduate program in service of the sustainability transformation of our clients.

Over the course of this 2‑3 month full‑time internship, you will work on internal and external projects alongside our Energy Advisory consultants, under the direction of senior team members. Your sustainability projects may cover a variety of sectors and topics to broaden your skills, regardless of your technical or industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

- Conduct research leveraging SLR experts and external resources on industry trends, markets, or sustainability technologies, quickly becoming an expert on the team.
- Structure and lead analysis of data to develop unique insights; develop leave‑behind models.




- Synthesize research and analysis into compelling messages; structure and prepare high‑quality client‑facing materials such as discussion documents and project deliverables.
- Contribute to business development, providing support in the development and preparation of proposals; develop new initiatives and outreach to clients.
- Plan and prepare impactful client meetings using best‑in‑class facilitation techniques.
- Frequently collaborate with and receive coaching from our senior leadership team.
- Ad hoc requests made by more senior team leaders to help meet client deadlines or other project needs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, including engineering (industrial / chemical / electrical / mechanical / mining / energy / water), environmental sciences or similar, with a distinguished record of academic achievement.
- Substantial coursework on business strategy; energy and/or sustainability.
- Fluent spoken and written English – essential for work with English‑speaking teams.
- Demonstrated proactiveness, leadership and people skills through past experiences in extracurricular activities.
- High‑level analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills, strong attention to detail with excellent judgement capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in the usage of digital tools and easiness to tackle tasks that involve coding or learning a new coding language/software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Capacity to deliver high quality output while managing strict deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment, as well as autonomously.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and ambiguous environment.

The position is hybrid, with an expectation of 2 days/week in the office. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.
