Job Summary

Veterinary Technician I/II (CARE) – Full‐time staff position at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals, World Equestrian Center, Marion (Ocala).
Responsibilities

Assist in equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging services.

Provide primary and urgent care for small animal veterinary students in technical skills and supervised medical treatments and procedures.

Perform patient care under direction of veterinarians.

Carry out tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs and extensive standing, bending, kneeling.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience (Veterinary Technician I) or credentialed veterinary technician (Veterinary Technician II).
Strong communicator with an interest in developing patient care and surgical nursing skills.

Prefer experience in equine diagnostic imaging, equine anesthesia,



and use of equine rehabilitation equipment.

Background check and post‐offer health assessment required.
