About the role:

The Merchant Team builds and maintains the high-traffic, low-latency subscription experiences powering some of the world's most recognizable consumer brands. We provide a highly flexible platform with robust tooling for custom development. We engineer resilient solutions that effortlessly thrive under the mission-critical surges of Black Friday and Cyber Monday traffic. Our engineers are builders and problem solvers who get energized by pushing boundaries, learning constantly, and shipping work that millions of subscribers interact with daily. We move fast, collaborate deeply, and take real ownership of what we put into production. We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who can help us continue and grow this mission. The ideal candidate should be someone who picks up new languages for fun, gets genuinely excited about emerging technologies and AI, and wants to do the most impactful engineering work of their career at a company where what you build actually matters.

What you will do:

- You will design and develop subscription offerings, management, and retention (increasingly personalized with AI) that will be viewed and used by millions of customers.
- You will help breakdown and scope new projects, and brainstorm innovative new architectures; examples in the past have been: subscription manager SDK, retention discounts, cancel flows
- You will work across the stack to build end-to-end solutions that solve our merchants' most critical needs
- You will help create new Javascript SDK and libraries which help empower product customization




- Your work will run on the latest tech through Docker and Kubernetes in the Google Cloud Platform

Who you are:

5+ years of full stack software engineeringAdvanced knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript, React, and CSS

- Experience designing and supporting scalable full-stack solutions
- Experience using backend languages and frameworks to build services and APIs
- Values quality and best-in-class user experience

Passionate about leveraging AI and eager to learn new skillsSkilled communicator, comfortable articulating complex ideas and talking abstract concepts

- Bonus Points:
- - Familiar with Google Cloud and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and WCAG Level AA
- Experience with NodeJs, Django, Go

Experience with one or more of e-commerce products, high traffic SaaS products
